What do the abbreviations mean when I look up a record?

They are "Where Used" Codes

Colleague flags each PERSON record (Students, Employees, Vendors, Donors, etc) with an abbreviation representing where the individual has records in Colleague. You will see these abbreviations when you do a lookup, underneath the address.

In general, the abbreviation is the first three letters of the file name, for example, APP = Applicant. We call this the "Where used" information.

Where Used Codes:

    APP - Applicant
    CON - Constituent
    COR - Corporation
    FAC - Faculty (course instructor)
    FIN - Financial Aid
    HRP - Human Resources (employee)
INS - Institutions (high school or college)
    LEN - Lenders (financial aid)
    PER - AR Person
STA - Staff (with a Colleague login)
    STU - Student
    VEN - Vendor
